Just to let everyone know that we are reapplying to the RSGB to integrate Echolink onto HR. Our original application was rejected due to site location difficulties, however, we believe that this aspect has been resolved and are waiting for the go ahead to start engineering the interfaces.

As soon as further information is available, I will of course issue an update for everyone.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi Everyone

I am delighted to say that a new application has been submitted to Ofcom by our Project Manager, Mike Hawkins G8WOY and an NoV has been issued to set up an Echolink station to control and interface with GB3HR.

The Team are currently sourcing the necessary interfaces and an implementation plan is underway. More information as the project progresses.

Following a request at the Club AGM this evening, this is the latest situation regarding the Echolink project.

Unfortunately, the supplier of the Echolink equipment has been unwell recently and is unable to supply us at this time. We are in regular contact and as soon as his situation improves, we will collect the kit and start implementation.

A Notice of Variation has been issued by Ofcom to run the link and we have identified the interconnection site to the Internet.

As soon as I have further news, I will post it here.
