For those using DMR, there is an announcement from the UK DMR Admins team representing a large number of the Keepers that TG235 (UK Wide) will be removed from TS2 for the majority of the DMR repeaters including GB7NS and GB7WL (when it's operational). The announcement has been made via the dmrusers.co.uk website under UKDMR_ADMINS section.
* General chats about DMR can be found on the Facebook page "DMR Users"
Note that under General Information on dmrusers.co.uk is the setup of time slots and talk groups for DMR-MARC, SW Cluster and DMR Plus (awaiting data).
DMR-MARC has had a lot of talk groups added today to allow users to directly call other repeaters. This is to reduce the number of repeaters being opened when users want to hat to others around the UK which is usually done via TG235 UK Wide but opens all DMR-MARC repeaters in the country. Information on this can be found on the forum and Facebook page.
An introduction is being planned soon in conjunction with TMRF and Elstree Amateur Radio Society and will be opened to all amateur radio clubs. More information will be posted once this has been setup. It may be of interest to those that are not on DMR and would like to know more about it in general. As quoted from one user I recently spoke to, they got into DMR just for the fact that "they could talk to the world from a handheld".
Please see message below from Chris Taylor. Please let me know if you are interested in attending, and if so, what days suit you. Linda

Subject: DMR talk Elstree Amateur Radio Society will be hosting a talk on DMR radio very soon We thought it would be a good opportunity to get all the local clubs in one place and put faces to voices etc.
We anticipate using a hall in either Stanmore or Edgware (Dependent on numbers)
The Talk will be as follows What is DMR and how is it used in Amateur radio by Chris Taylor How is DMR used commercially (Guest speaker) Programming DMR radios! (Local users)
Taylor Made RF will offer some special prices on equipment which will be on a hand out at the end of the evening which will be valid at the shop for a restricted period. The reason for this is the talk is about using DMR rather than selling it. If you can discuss this at your next meeting and send some numbers I can make a decision on the hall.
We will ask for donations on the evening to assist with paying for the hall and refreshments!
