INTERMEDIATE Training Course – September 2018

This is a course for anyone wishing to obtain an Intermediate amateur radio licence.
There are no age restrictions, but applicants under the age of 18 must have the written consent of their parent/guardian in order to sit the exam. Students must hold a Foundation call sign to take exam.
The Intermediate licence requires the candidate to construct a simple amateur radio related project. The cost of components for this project is included in the course fee.
The course fee is £32.50, plus £32.50 RSGB exam fee.
Sept 01 – Day 1 – Theory
Sept 02 – Day 2 – Practicals
Sept 08 – Day 3 – Theory and review Project
Sept 09 – Day 4 – Theory and Revision
Sept 15 – Day 5 – Revision
Sept 16 – Day 6 – Mock exam; Real exam in afternoon. As with the Foundation exam, you will need to bring photo ID.

Students can take the exam as a paper exam or online. We recommend students choose online option, but students must provide a laptop.
The training will take place at the club premises in Bushey.

Members – and remember that if you have taken a Foundation course in the past year, you are a member – should log on to the Members’ Portal and follow the option “Enrol me on a course” towards the bottom of the menu of the left hand side.
