Raspberry Pi and IP Telephony

20 May 2016 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

We are pleased to welcome Shah M0OSK, who will talk about:

 a. Raspberry Pi acting as a phone PABX system (between two Cisco phones, and also with a mobile phone via GSM network — which has a wider possible application.

 b. Raspberry Pi acting as an AllstarLink node. This node connects to a radio for both Rx/Tx, and on the backend can connect to the first Pi above — offering communication between a phone network and a radio network.

 c. Raspberry Pi acting as a Talk-Through/Repeater box. Choice of frequency is open, i.e., you get what your radio is capable of, but the T/T unit does what you expect out of it (Rx/Tx, announcement, periodic caller ID in Morse code, etc. for example).
