Additional 70cms Net on GB3HR from 14 October 2026

by Linda Casey

As you will be aware, both clubs have been sharing our Nets for a number of months, along with promoting events and meetings. This has led to increased attendance and a generally raised awareness of the activities of both clubs.

At the moment, we have 2m FM Simplex Nets on Mondays and Wednesdays and a 2m SSB Net on alternating Thursdays with EDRS meetings.

It is proposed that we introduce an additional Net using the GB3HR 70cms FM Repeater, to alternate with the Wednesday 2m FM Simplex net. This will be trialled for 2 months starting from Wednesday 14 October. The start time will be 20.00 and conducted by one of the Net Controllers. In the event of abuse of the repeater taking place, the Net Controller will decide whether to terminate the net and move to 145.350 MHz FM to continue. The Repeater may be closed down.

The Nets will therefore be as follows:

Mondays 20.45 hrs on 145.375 MHz FM

Wednesdays (Odd numbered weeks from 7/10/26) 20.00 hrs on 145.350 MHz FM.
Wednesdays (Even numbered weeks from 14/10/26) 20.00 hrs on GB3HR.

Thursdays 21.00 hrs on 144.310 MHz USB (using vertical antennae), alternating with EDRS Meetings.

Details of the GB3HR Repeater can be found at https://www.g3efx.org.uk/repeaters/gb3hr-70cm-band-repeater/

If reception on any of the above frequencies is difficult, please use the Bushey Heath remote SDR via the internet at http://sdr.codedv.com:8091/
